Dr. Bonnie Henry, British Columbia’s provincial health officer, has kept the coronavirus in check in B.C. and is receiving praise for her actions. She had declared a public health emergency early on. Following that, she has given orders to shut schools and bars, and to put social distancing measures in place. As a result, the province has flattened the curve much earlier than other regions.
